The Art of Living with Nature – Carving a Pumpkin Vase

IMG_0307

There’s a wonderful growing trend for bringing the outdoors in…one that we go along with daily. Flowers, leaves, twigs, conkers…they’ve all had their place decorating the mantle. We mainly use jugs to display our blooms, but inspired by Willow Crossley http://www.willowcrossley.com/#books using a red cabbage to plant pansies, we thought we’d give a pumpkin vase a go…

This dappled green beastlet called out to us at the market this morning…& turning it into a vase was so much easier, and a lot less messy, than we’d originally thought!
