Choosing a marble wall clock

Don’t rush anything. When the time is right, it will happen.

I’ve been wanting to replace the pink clock in our kitchen {now moved into Lily’s playroom} for months.

It’s no secret I love marble; solid & smooth, yet delicately soft-looking with those inky swirls. Of course, I dream of marble-style worktops, but for now I like to add marble to our home in other ways: like the hand thrown marbled vases, shown in the above styling.

So, to continue with the stone romance, I’ve been looking for a marble clock.

Trawling through options, we liked these:

Top right: heals £219

Bottom left: Laura Ashley £40

Bottom right: made.com £49

Thinking of it as rather ‘on trend’, it’s a little ironic that we should choose from a brand we consider so ‘timeless’ in style: Laura Ashley.

They were lovely enough to send this clock as part of an Instagram competition we are taking part in…you can see my entry here.

We’re really pleased with it…however from a distance it’s a little hard to read the hands, so I’m currently toying with spraying them a brighter colour {watch this space!}
